Taking a Photograph
Rationale
This instructional design project presents a structured photography lesson divided into multiple sections, each built around an evidence-based teaching model to actively engage learners. The lesson’s primary goal is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to develop confidence and proficiency in photography. Whether learners are just beginning or refining their expertise, this experience is designed to inspire creativity while improving technical ability and artistic vision.

Design Process Statement
The lesson offers a comprehensive exploration of key photography concepts, including composition, framing techniques, backgrounds and backdrops, lighting conditions, and cloud dynamics. It also introduces learners to a variety of photography genres such as portrait, landscape and nature, panorama, still life, action and sports, architectural, night, and close-up photography.
Developed following a systematic design approach, the 55-minute instruction integrates interactive elements and includes two feedback to evaluate learner engagement and instructional effectiveness.
