Introduction of the tennis game to non-player's lesson

Rationale

This project introduces the fundamentals of tennis to individuals with no prior experience in the sport. Designed through the lens of instructional design, it offers an immersive and engaging learning journey that encourages participation and fosters a sense of community within the tennis world. By integrating principles from established instructional design models, the lesson aligns the values of sport discipline, collaboration, and growth with evidence-based learning strategies, creating a well-rounded and meaningful educational experience.

Design Process Statement

This lesson was developed using a systematic instructional design approach that emphasizes analysis, learner-centered design, and iterative improvement. Each stage informed the development of lesson  to ensure both effectiveness and engagement. The outcome is a 90-minute interactive learning experience that serves as a strong proof of concept for instructional design in sports education demonstrating how thoughtful structure and intentional design can make complex skills accessible and enjoyable for beginners.
